		<description>Dear Annette

Thank you for your question. To answer your question yes your prescription should contain the information needed to obtain contact lenses. If you decide to go with an online contact lens retailer you will need to send them your prescription. In fact all contact lens retailers must comply with the “Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act” which states the following:

1.) Any time an Eye Care Provider (ECP) conducts a contact lens fitting, that they must provide the patient with a paper copy of their prescription (whether or not the patient requests it). This enables the patient to take their prescription and purchase their Contact Lenses from a variety of sources.

2.) Contact lens sellers must verify that American patients have had a contact lens fitting and that the prescription is not expired.

So if you do come across a deal online and they don&#039;t require your prescription I would think twice about purchasing them. All the contact lens retailers we deal with on Lens-Saver.com will require the prescription before sending out your contact lenses.

To help get a better understanding on how to Read Your Contact Lens Prescription check out &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-3444221-10274131?url=http://www.aclens.com/prescriptionhelp.asp&quot; target=&quot;blank&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;http://www.aclens.com/prescriptionhelp.asp&lt;/a&gt;

And of course always talk to your eye doctor if you are ever in question.

cheers,

		<description>Hello, I was wondering if you can help me out. I recently went to my eye doctor to have my eyes checked and I need glasses or contacts. My question is can I get contacts with the prescription that he gave me? Not sure how to read the prescription but here is the info: Rx: OD Sphere: -0.25 Cyl: -0.50 Axis: 095 and Rx: OS Sphere: -0.25 Cyl: -0.50 Axis: 080

RX: OD Add: +1.50
